This 5 Days Northern Tanzania Safari is a short itinerary that takes you through the most sought-after parks in Tanzania’s northern safari circuit. Detailed Itinerary: 5 Days Northern Tanzania Safari
Day 1: Pick-Up and Drive to Tarangire National Park
You will be picked up by your guide at your hotel in Arusha after breakfast and transferred to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and rich birdlife. Your Tanzania safari guide will welcome you and brief you on the trip ahead.
Enjoy a game drive through Tarangire in search of wildlife such as elephant, buffalo, antelope, zebra, lion, and leopard, among others. After the game drive, continue to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Tarangire National Park
Today, enjoy a full day of game viewing in Tarangire, looking out for wildlife you may have missed the day before. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park, followed by one more game drive as you make your way back to the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay, as above.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater Drive
Breakfast will be served at your lodge ahead of your drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will enjoy a crater drive through the world’s largest inactive caldera, home to a wealth of wildlife, including the Big Five, along with wildebeest, zebra, hippo, cheetah, antelope, eland, impala, gazelle, waterbuck, and hartebeest, among others.
During this leg of your five-day safari, you will descend roughly 600 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater. You will also take in attractions such as Lake Magadi, where you can see flamingo along the shore, along with hippo. Afterward, you will have dinner and spend the night at your lodge.

Day 4: Full Day in Lake Manyara National Park, Walking Safari
After breakfast at your lodge, your Tanzania safari guide will drive you to Lake Manyara National Park, home to the famous tree-climbing lions, elephant, and much more. Along the way, you will stop in Mto wa Mbu town to visit craft shops and interact with the local community.
You will enjoy a game drive exploring Lake Manyara National Park, taking in its diverse scenery and looking out for wildlife such as antelope, gazelle, buffalo, leopard, waterbuck, monkey, and baboon, among others, as well as a variety of birdlife.
After your game drive, enjoy lunch, then embark on one of the most memorable activities of the trip: a guided walking safari. Walking through Lake Manyara brings you up close with nature and wildlife, including zebra, antelope, and giraffe, among many others, under the guidance of park officials familiar with the area.
Continue to your lodge afterward, relax, and wait for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Morning Game Drive, Departure
Enjoy an early game drive in the park for one last chance at wildlife viewing. After breakfast, your guide will drive you to Arusha and drop you off at the airport for your flight, bringing your Tanzania safari to an end.
