Why We Do This

Our founder, Sam, spent years working as a tour guide before starting Scosam Adventure, and it was during those years that he first came to know the rural communities around the Rwenzori Mountains, not as scenery on a map, but as real families and real children. Time and again, he met bright, capable kids who simply couldn’t get the education they deserved, not for lack of effort, but for lack of resources.

In many of these communities, schools are under-resourced and understaffed, and children in this part of Uganda often walk long distances, sometimes several kilometres each way, just to reach the nearest classroom. Basic essentials that many of us take for granted, textbooks, desks, a properly resourced teacher, are often in short supply. Sam shared these stories with Scovia, whose own passion for children’s welfare made the two of them determined to do something real about it, and that determination became the foundation Scosam Adventure was built on.

Where Your Donation Goes

Every contribution made through this page goes directly toward supporting children and schools in the communities surrounding the Rwenzori Mountains, the same communities that first inspired Scosam Adventure’s founders to start this work. Depending on current need, your donation may go toward school supplies and learning materials, support for school infrastructure, or assistance that helps a specific child stay enrolled and in class.

We believe in being transparent about how contributions are used, and we’re happy to share more detail on our current projects and their progress with anyone who reaches out to ask.
