Detailed Itinerary: 4 Days Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater Safari
Day 1: Pick-Up and Drive to Tarangire National Park
You will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha, or from the airport, and welcomed by your guide for the safari ahead. You will then begin your journey to Tarangire National Park, Tanzania’s third-largest, known for its huge elephant herds and baobab trees.
Enjoy a game drive through the park in search of wildlife such as elephant, zebra, cheetah, lion, buffalo, and leopard, among others. Enjoy lunch before continuing on to Karatu, where you will check in at your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Drive to Serengeti National Park

Wake up to a hearty breakfast at the lodge, then head out to the world’s largest inactive caldera, home to more than 25,000 animals. You will enjoy a safari through the Ngorongoro Crater, home to a wealth of wildlife, including the Big Five, along with wildebeest, zebra, hippo, cheetah, antelope, eland, impala, gazelle, waterbuck, and hartebeest, among others.
You will also descend roughly 600 metres into the crater, taking in attractions such as Lake Magadi, where flamingo and hippo can often be seen along the shore. Afterward, you will drive to Arusha and be dropped off at your hotel, or at the airport, for your flight.
