Day 1: Transfer to Akagera National Park, Game Drive
You will be met by your driver-guide at your agreed location in Kigali and transferred to Akagera National Park, enjoying an en-route game drive along the southern Lake Ihema circuit. Look out for elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra, crocodile, and much more. Arrive at your lodge in good time for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Lake Ihema Boat Cruise
Rise early for breakfast, then set out on a morning game drive, timed for the best chance of seeing animals that graze at first light, along with predators such as leopard and lion on the hunt for an early kill. You will also see herbivores such as rhino, elephant, gazelle, and oribi grazing across the plains, among many other rewarding sightings.
Later, embark on a boat cruise on Lake Ihema, where you may spot hippo and elephant quenching their thirst along the riverbanks, alongside crocodile and a variety of birdlife, including the endangered shoebill stork and various species of kingfisher, along with many other water birds found around the lake and its surrounding swamps. After this memorable safari experience, return to camp for dinner and an overnight stay, as above.
Day 3: Transfer to Kigali City
After breakfast at the lodge, transfer to Kigali city, with an optional city tour if time allows. Drop-off at Kigali International Airport for those with a flight home, or at your hotel of stay in Kigali, brings your Rwanda safari to an end.
