Day 1: Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater, Walking Safari
You will be met by your driver-guide at your hotel in Arusha, or at the airport, and briefed on your 3 Days Ngorongoro Crater Safari. You will then transfer to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will enjoy a walking safari, giving you the chance to come close to a variety of animals in the park under the guidance of an armed ranger.
You will return to your lodge after the walking safari for dinner and an overnight stay.
Accommodation: Karatu Tented Lodge (Mid-Range) / Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge
Day 2: Olduvai Gorge and Museum Visit, Maasai Bomas Visit
After breakfast at the lodge, visit Olduvai Gorge and its museum for the chance to learn about the archaeological discoveries made there by the Leakeys. You will also visit a Maasai boma, home to a community that continues to live in the wilderness alongside the region’s wildlife, and learn about how they coexist with nature. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, as above.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater Drive, Transfer to Arusha
After breakfast at your lodge, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive, packed lunch in hand. The crater is home to more than 25,000 animals, including all of the Big Five. Look out for wildlife such as eland, zebra, warthog, wildebeest, buffalo, and elephant across the crater floor, while taking in the sweeping views and scenery of the crater. You will also visit Lake Magadi, where you may spot pink flamingos along the shore.
Afterward, transfer to Arusha, where your guide will drop you off at the airport or at your hotel of choice, bringing the safari to an end.
