Detailed Itinerary: 2 Day Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara Safari
Day 1: Pick-Up, Drive to Lake Nakuru
You will be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi by your guide as early as 6 a.m. and welcomed for your day safari to Lake Nakuru National Park. You will then be transferred to the park, located in the Great Rift Valley. Enjoy a game drive, keeping an eye out for Rothschild’s giraffe, as well as predators such as lion, leopard, and large python. Look out too for the park’s varied birdlife, including its famous pink flamingos.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park, followed by further game viewing as you leave for your transfer to camp in the Masai Mara National Reserve. Check in and relax while you wait for dinner and an overnight stay at Sentrim Mara Camp.
Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in the Masai Mara Game Reserve
Wake up early for a hearty breakfast and get ready for a long-awaited day in the Masai Mara. With your lunch boxes in hand, head out for a full day exploring the Mara plains, with a chance to witness the wildebeest migration. Other wildlife to look out for includes large lion prides, zebra, leopard, elephant, giraffe, and many more.
After your picnic lunch, enjoy further game viewing as you leave the reserve on your transfer back to Nairobi. You will be dropped off at your hotel of stay, bringing your safari to an end.
