This 5 Days Uganda Safari combines wildlife viewing and gorilla trekking across some of the country’s most remarkable national parks. Starting in Entebbe or Kampala, the trip takes you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, famous for gorilla trekking, and Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s beautiful savanna park known for its tree-climbing lions and boat safaris on the Kazinga Channel.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is one of the best gorilla safari destinations in the world, home to more than half the global population of mountain gorillas and the highest number of habituated gorilla families found anywhere.

Detailed Itinerary: 5 Days Uganda Safari
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You will be picked up from your hotel in Kampala, or from Entebbe Airport upon arrival, by your Uganda safari guide. After a warm welcome to the Pearl of Africa and a briefing on the trip ahead, you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, with a lunch stop en route. The drive takes approximately eight to nine hours.
On arrival, check in at your lodge and relax while you wait for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Enjoy breakfast at the lodge, then head to the park headquarters for a briefing on the gorilla trekking experience ahead. Alongside your ranger guides, you will enter the forest in search of your allocated gorilla family, learning about Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and its inhabitants along the way, while also keeping an eye out for other wildlife.
Once you find the gorillas, you will spend an hour in their company, observing their daily life. Return to the lodge afterward to relax for the rest of the afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay, as above.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Ishasha Sector Game Drive
After breakfast on this third day of your safari, check out and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, with lunch en route, passing through the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions. Look out for a range of wildlife, including tree-climbing lions, elephant, buffalo, and antelope, among many others.
Continue to your lodge to check in and relax while you wait for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
Wake up to an early cup of tea or coffee at the lodge, then head out for an early-morning game drive along the Kasenyi trail and other routes, giving you the chance to spot the park’s early risers. Look out for a range of wildlife during your drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Return to the lodge for breakfast and spend the rest of the morning relaxing. After lunch, head out for an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. Keep an eye out for crocodile, hippo, and birdlife, along with elephant and buffalo drinking or cooling off along the shore.
Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, as above.
Day 5: Departure
Wake up to a leisurely breakfast at the lodge, then check out and transfer to Kampala, with a stopover at Kayabwe for the Equator water experiment and lunch. You will be dropped off at the airport for your outbound flight, or at your hotel of stay in Entebbe or Kampala, bringing your 5 Days Uganda Safari to an end.
