Detailed Itinerary: 4 Days Bwindi Gorillas and Wildlife Safari
Day 1: Pick-Up and Drive to Bwindi National Park
Your guide will meet and welcome you at your hotel in Entebbe. After a short briefing and introduction, you will begin your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Along the way, you will stop at the Equator for photos and to browse local arts and crafts, and enjoy lunch in Mbarara town. After lunch, continue your journey to Bwindi, where you will check in at your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Accommodation: Buhoma Community Rest Camp (Budget) / Buhoma Haven Lodge (Mid-Range)
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking, Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast at the lodge, your guide will meet you for a packed lunch and transfer to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. Following the briefing, you will be allocated a gorilla family to trek and paired with a park guide knowledgeable about the mountain gorillas and the various trekking trails. Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park can take anywhere from thirty minutes to several hours, depending on the gorillas’ location, since they move frequently in search of food.
During the trek, you will have the chance to see other primate species, a variety of birds, and interesting plant life. Once the gorillas are found, you will spend an hour in their company, observing their natural behaviour, including feeding, playing, breastfeeding, and grooming, with plenty of opportunity for photos and video.
After this hour with the gentle giants, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Check in at your lodge and relax while you wait for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise
After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will meet your driver-guide for a morning game drive, where you will see a variety of wildlife, including elephant, buffalo, waterbuck, bushbuck, warthog, leopard, and Uganda kob, along with a range of birdlife. Take in beautiful views of the landscape and sunrise, and keep an eye out for the famous tree-climbing lions of the Ishasha sector. After the game drive, you will have lunch.
In the afternoon, you will take an exciting boat ride along the Kazinga Channel, the waterway connecting Lake Edward and Lake George. The two-to-three-hour cruise offers excellent photo opportunities as you pass close to large concentrations of hippo and Nile crocodile, along with elephant, buffalo, and antelope drinking along the banks, plus a wide variety of birdlife and local fishermen preparing their gear along the shore. After the cruise, return to the lodge for an evening of relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Departure
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast, check out of your lodge, and meet your driver-guide for the journey to Kampala, arriving in the evening. On arrival, your driver-guide will drop you off at your hotel of choice, bringing the safari to an end.
