Detailed Itinerary: 4 Days Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, and Lake Nakuru Safari
Day 1: Pick-Up, Transfer to Amboseli National Park, Game Drive
You will be picked up by your Kenya safari guide from your hotel or apartment or from the airport on arrival. After a warm welcome and a short briefing on your four-day itinerary, you will transfer to Amboseli National Park, enjoying a packed lunch en route at a scenic, shaded spot with lovely views of the park.
After lunch, head into the Amboseli wilderness for a late-afternoon game drive, where you will see a wide range of resident wildlife. The drive will end in the evening, after which you will head to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay at Ol Tukai Amboseli Lodge.
Day 2: Early Morning Game Drive in Amboseli National Park, Guided Walking Safari
On the second day of your Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, and Lake Nakuru safari, you will rise early for a cup of tea or coffee before heading out for an early-morning game drive from around 6:30 to 9 or 10 a.m. Keep an eye out for any wildlife you may have missed the previous day, and enjoy a beautiful sunrise over the park, all with Mount Kilimanjaro as a striking backdrop.
Return to the lodge for a leisurely breakfast, then enjoy some free time through the late morning and early afternoon, whether relaxing at the lodge or heading out again with a packed lunch for further game viewing. Lunch is served leisurely back at the lodge.
In the late afternoon, head out for a guided walking safari in Amboseli National Park, taking in stunning views of Kilimanjaro and the chance to experience the wildlife and landscape up close, on foot. Afterward, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, as above.
Day 3: Lake Naivasha Tour
On this third day of your safari, you will make an early start with breakfast at the lodge, then set off with your packed lunch for Lake Naivasha, arriving mid-morning. Enjoy lunch as a picnic amid the lake’s beautiful surroundings, then head out onto the water for an afternoon boat ride, taking in the lake’s freshwater ecosystem, birdlife, and resident wildlife.
The boat ride will conclude in the evening, after which you will head to your accommodation to freshen up before dinner and an overnight stay at Ziwa Bush Lodge.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park Game Drive, Departure
Wake up early for breakfast at the lodge, then head to Lake Nakuru National Park, a short drive away. Enjoy a game drive through the park, taking in sightings of rhino, giraffe, buffalo, baboon, and many other species. Savour your picnic lunch with views of the park’s famous pink flamingos.
After lunch, you will exit the park and journey on to Nairobi, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or at the airport, bringing your 4 Days Amboseli, Lake Naivasha and Lake Nakuru Safari to an end.
