Embark on an epic 15-day Rwenzori Trekking Expedition and Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari that blends high-altitude adventure with classic African wildlife exploration. This remarkable journey takes you deep into the heart of western Uganda, where snow-capped peaks meet savannah plains and abundant wildlife roams freely.
Arrival at Entebbe International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Entebbe. Night at Via-Via hotel, meal plan B/B
After B/fast at 9am, we drive to Kasese. Stop for Lunch and pictures in Fort Portal, later arrive in Kasese in the evening night at Rwenzori international Hotel Kasese. Meal plan B/B.
At 8am after your breakfast transfer to Kilembe Trekkers Service, go for briefing at the base camp 1450m and start the trek to sleep at Sine Camp 2596 meters above the sea level.
Hike at Mutinda camp at 3588 meters, giving you a height gain of 1092 meters. In the afternoon at Mutinda one may wish to climb up Mutinda look out at 3975 meter of which apart from offering breathtaking views and it gives you good acclimatization since you would be continuing higher to the summit at 4620 meters
Hike to Butaga camp at 4100 meters, with a height gain of 412 meters through the valley of amazingly unique beautiful plant species, streams and waterfalls while we head to Bugata camp at 4100 meters. The trek gets tougher and exhausting with the steep ridges, mud and boggy sections, high steps but the rewards are enormously beautiful.
Hike to Hunwick's camp at 3974 meters, via Bamwanjara pass at 4450 meters having excellent views of the main peaks whilst the trek.
Hike to margherita camp at 4485 meters, passing down and cross the valley floor to Lake Kitandara which is very stunning with deep water and beautiful vegetation, climbing through Scoot Elliot pass to Margherita camp.
Wake up at 2am and have an early breakfast and set off to climb Mt. Stanley going through its glaciers to the summit we will descend down to Bujuku
Caves for the night.
Summit Mt. Speke 4890m and sleep at Hunwicks camp 3974m. 10km
Descend down to Kiharo camp at 3640 meter through Oliver's pass overnight at Kiharo camp sent in a deep valley with high cliffs and dense vegetation 12km
Descend downhill past the moss covered rocks along rivers and beautiful forests back to the base camp in Kilembe and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and night at a nice lodge with a swimming pool and great views of the Rift valley.Night at kingfisher lodge
Full Day Relax at the lodge
Full day of service in Queen Elizabeth for the big 4 and others begin at 6:30am from your lodge and descend in to a rift valley for the long game drive lasting many hours looking for Buffaloes, Lions, Elephants, Leopards, Hippos and many others including a salt lake view, then after, go for lunch and then you will go for a 2 hours boat ride on Kazinga Channel to spot more wildlife such as Crocodiles, Hippos, Monitor Lizards and various species of water birds including Saddle-biked stock, egrets, Kingfisher, African fish eagle etc... later drive back to your hotel at Kingfisher for dinner and night. At 8am drive to Entebbe stop for enroute and then arrive in Entebbe late evening, Night at Via-Via hotel. Meal plan : meals provided.
Free day in Entebbe and later transfer to the Airport as per your flight time.
