Depart Nairobi at 08h00 and drive north, descending the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley. Stop briefly at the viewpoint for photos of this amazing natural phenomenon. Continue through the Great Rift Valley, with its dramatic landscapes and plains inhabited by Maasai pastoralists, crossing Kenya’s "bread basket" covered with fields of wheat and barley. Make a brief stop at Narok town for refueling before climbing the western wall and entering Hemingway’s "Serengeti Plains". We’ll arrive at the camp or lodge in time for lunch.
At 16h00, head out for an evening game drive in search of black-maned lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, buffalos, and other plains game. Rhino and leopard sightings cannot be guaranteed, as they are rare, shy, and elusive. Return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay on a full-board basis.
Night in Mara
Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast at 07h30, begin a full day of game tracking with your guide across the rich, tree-studded grasslands and rolling hills of the Mara, which borders Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park.
This reserve is Kenya’s most visited park and is known for its abundant wildlife and extensive network of roads and tracks, providing excellent opportunities for photography and close-up viewing. The famous Mara is home to great herds of plains game, black-maned lions, leopards, and cheetahs. It also hosts numerous elephants and nearly every type of wildlife found in Kenya, including antelopes, wildebeests, zebras, and giraffes, along with scavengers such as hyenas and vultures. Birdlife is prolific, with over 450 species recorded.
Enjoy a picnic lunch by the Mara River, where you can watch hippos and, with some luck, crocodiles basking on the rocks near one of the wildebeest crossing points. Return to the camp or lodge at 16h30 for dinner and your overnight stay on a full-board basis. Night in Mara
After breakfast, depart the Mara region and head to Nakuru. We’ll eat lunch en route and enjoy scenic views of Mount Longonot and Lake Naivasha from a distance along the main highway. Arrive in the evening for check-in, dinner, and your overnight stay at the hotel.
After an early breakfast, head out for a game-viewing drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its abundant flamingos, white pelicans, and marabou storks. Waterbuck and Cape buffalo are often seen near the shoreline, along with Rothschild’s giraffe and the endangered white rhino. Other species include various plains game and predators like lions.
Lake Nakuru’s alkaline waters attract thousands of fuchsia-pink flamingos. The park also serves as a sanctuary for black and white rhinos and hosts over 450 bird species, including pelicans, fish eagles, secretary birds, herons, egrets, hamerkops, and grebes.
Afterward, you’ll drive to Naivasha for lunch. In the afternoon, you can opt for a boat ride on the freshwater lake to visit Crescent Island to spot hippos and fish eagles at an additional cost. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the hotel near lake naivasha . Meal plan: all meals provided
After breakfast, enjoy a nature walk in Hell's Gate National Park, or opt to hire bicycles for a unique cycling experience (available only in this area). Hell’s Gate is home to over 100 bird species, including vultures, Verreaux's eagles, augur buzzards, and swifts. Wildlife such as African buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson's gazelle, and baboon are commonly seen, along with the klipspringer antelope and Chandler's mountain reedbuck.
After a hot or picnic lunch, depart for Amboseli, arriving late in the evening for dinner and your overnight stay at your accommodation .
After breakfast, check out from the camp and embark on a morning game drive. If the weather permits, you'll be treated to a stunning view of Mount Kilimanjaro and its gleaming snow-capped peaks. Later, depart Amboseli National Park for Nairobi, enjoying a picnic lunch en route. We’ll arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon, where you'll be dropped off at your hotel or the airport. Bid farewell to your guide with the promise of embarking on another adventure in the future!
