The 4-day lowland double trekking offers a remarkable opportunity to get up close and personal with Eastern Lowland gorillas in the wild twice, translating to a maximum of 2 hours of a magical encounter. Visiting lowland gorillas in the wild is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we have you covered with this expertly designed package. You will be visiting Kahuzi-Biega National Park in Eastern Congo, the only location where Eastern Lowland gorillas are trekked.
The presence of lowland gorillas in Kahuzi-Biega National Park, Maiko National Park, and other protected areas makes Congo safaris special. The Eastern lowland gorillas, or Grauer’s gorillas, are part of the Eastern gorilla species, which also includes mountain gorillas. In Kahuzi-Biega Park, a 6,000 sq. km protected area, there are many groups, but only five have been set for trekking, and you will visit two of them as per your 4-day lowland double trekking tour.
