Detailed Itinerary
Day 1. Head to Akagera National Park from Kigali
Be picked from the agreed point in Kigali and head to Akagera National Park home to the African big five animals (lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo and elephants) and also rare shoebill stock, a rare bird species. There are other mammals and bird creatures you will enjoy while on this safari. Arrive and head to the lodge booked with an enroute game drive.
Day 2. Full day in Akagera (hot air balloon safari and boat cruise)
Wake up, have breakfast and the driver guide will take you to the starting point of the hot air ballooning adventure and you will enjoy the enroute game drive. This experience begins with a short briefing on how to take care of yourself while in the basket and the flying crew will be so helpful during this amazing tour. Have an aerial view of the surroundings as you spot animals like elephants, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, lions, rhinos, olive baboons, leopards and many more.
The experience ends with a glass of champagne or juice after landing. Have a break for lunch at the lodge and then embark on the afternoon boat cruise on Lake Ihema. During this tour spot the hippos, crocodiles, elephants, different antelopes, warthogs and more. Birds will be seen like kingfishers, fish eagles, vultures and more. In the evening, return to the lodge and have a blast night.
Day 3. Game drive and head to Kigali Rwanda
Enjoy the last park activity where you encounter different animals both small and large but our target is to spot animals like elephants, zebras, giraffes, lions, leopards, buffalos and many more. This experience will last for 2 hours and then head back to Kigali. The safari ends after a drop-off at any agreed point preferably the airport.
